The Arts and Entertainment Magazine has just learned that actor Said Faraj (click to see article) who we interviewed in our June 1st, 2010 issue is starring in a new film. The title of the film is The American Failure and it won several awards in the Sarasota Film Festival this year. Asked the theme behind the movie Said told us it was about a Los Angeles attorney Carlos Elias, a man who is running from both the cartel and the law after it’s discovered that he’s extorted millions of dollars. The film also features Hakeen Kae-Kazim, Dan Thiel, Adrienne Wilkinson and Chris Anglin.
Said Faraj sought a career in the film industry more than 25 years ago when he immigrated to the United States from Lebanon. His work can be seen in acclaimed films, including: Green Zone; The Siege; Bad Influence; True Romance; and others. He has also been featured in popular TV series such as: NCIS: Los Angeles; 24; The Unit; Bones; and more. In addition to Best Actor, The American Failure is also up for Best Short. The awards will be announced on Sunday evening, Sept 22nd.
