Actress Anna Eastenden (Sept.1, 2011 issue) has landed an enviable spot as the Host of the game show Wipeout Finland taking place in that beautiful country. The show is being produced by Endemol, and it is a ‘multi-territory’ version of the show that takes place around the description of the show is as follows:

Endemol preps multi-territory Wipeout

Endemol is producing a new multi-territory version of game show Wipeout, featuring contestants from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia and Finland.

The show, which started filming this week at Endemol’s Wipeout production hub in Argentina, is due to air in each of the territories this spring.

It will go out on TV7 in Kazakhstan – a network with whom Endemol signed a management consultancy deal two years ago that allows it to run the channel’s entire schedule. It will air on ICTV in Ukraine, on UTV in Russia and on Fox in Finland.

The game show is being made by Endemol with local production support from Endemol Argentina, creative consultancy support from the Netherlands and production supervision help from Endemol’s Russian partner company Weit Media.

Each country will do its own post-production, with Endemol Finland taking care of it for Fox and Weit for UTV and TV7. ICTV in Ukraine will do the work in-house.

Each of the four countries will have its own host, and the show is designed so that contestants from each country will compete until the final episode, when only one individual and one country will take home the Wipeout Cup.

Marina Williams, Endemol’s CEO for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, said the production was “a tough deal to pull together. To rely on four clients, on timing, on money, on ideas – it was not easy.”

However, it is not the first time Endemol has made a multi-territory version of the show. Since 2008, it has made three Scandinavian series of Wipeout, featuring contestants from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. It has also made one Eastern Europe series of Wipeout for Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Czech Republic.

We wish the beautiful Ms. Eastenden a hearty congratulations and the best of luck with the new show.
