TAEM News Flash ! An Anniversary, A Birthday, and Robert Burns !

TAEM- The Arts and Entertainment Magazine has once again attended the annual poet Robert Burns Anniversary Dinner thrown by Fauquier Scottish Heritage Society of Warrenton, Virginia. We also linked this to the 35th Wedding anniversary of our publisher, Joseph J. O’Donnell, and his wife Maryann. We were joined by our daughter, Jennifer Baird, and her husband Matt and our granddaughter, Haven. The celebration was also extended to include our daughter’s 33rd Birthday !

The event was again held at McMahon’s Irish Pub & Restaurant located in Warrenton. The establishment’s Manager, Erica Fusco, supplied the event with an expert staff  to assist us and their food was superb !  Our magazine highly recommends McMahon’s to all of our readers and we will provide contact info at the end of this article.

The ceremony’s Welcome address was delivered by Richard Badger and music was performed by piper Jacob Loughlin and drummer Gordon Loughlin. Grace was delivered by Stephen McLeod and ‘Address to the Haggis’ was made by James Breeden. Readings were also made at the event by Maj. Bruce Wallace Raich, Deb Sterling, Kimberly Gregory-Love, James Breeden, Christine Badger, Chris Baumgartner,  Michael Stenberg, Michael Stenberg, and Earl McMichael with Margaret Rowe.

It was a great time and we happily reunited with all the club members and their guests. Our granddaughter was chosen to draw the winning tickets for the door prizes and she can be seen in the photographs holding the Scotty Dog prize my wife had won and gave to her. We finished the evening off with several songs including ‘Auld Lang Syne’ attributed to Robert Burns at these events. James Breeden made the ‘Farewell’ speech at the end.

We include pictures for all our reader’s interests.
